Elsie the Pekinese

I have never been a fan of toy dogs. There was always a sigh when we had to sit throught he toy group before watching all the other groups at the dog show. Perhaps I have felt a bias because of the hollywood crowd who flaunt their toy dogs as if they were accessories. And then I met "Elsie" she is a little 2 and 1/2 year old peke. What a charmer, she has a haircut that makes her look like a little teddy bear. She cruises around with the bigger dogs showing absolutely no fear! She plays with a tiny tennis ball batting it around the room and carrying it around in her mouth. She can almost roll over but needs a little help because she is pretty round. The cutest thing about Elsie is when she is out in the yard sniffing the ground. Because her face is so flat it looks like her face is completely smooched into the ground but around she goes checking out all the great smells. What I like about this little girl is how she lifts her leg when she pees....letting everyone around her know that she is the alpha bitch! Go Elsie
